Character concept

Back story of her is she part of an Imperial army, set in a type of Medieval Fantasy world. She comes from a village that is currently in war with the kingdom she currently works in, so it is very difficult for her to move up in ranks; the different tassels on her uniform represent different achievements. So the story is about her trying to earn as many tassels as she can, different tassels representing different tasks she has completed, or being granted a certain right.
